Create and Manage Tasks
Click Tasks from the iA menu
Click + Add Task
A drawer will appear to enter your new Task details.
Task Frequency Settings
When creating a task, you can select from various frequency options to define how often the task should recur. Here are the available options:
- Don't Repeat: The task will occur only once on the specified date and will not recur.
- Daily: The task will automatically recur every day.
- Weekly: The task will recur on the same day each week.
- Yearly: The task will recur on the same date each year.
- Custom: This option allows you to set a specific recurrence pattern based on your preference (e.g., every two weeks, every third Monday, etc.).
Default End Date for Task Frequency
By default, the end date for creating tasks is set to six months from the start date. However, users can modify or remove this end date based on their needs.
Selecting a Time for Your Task
When you create a task, you can specify the exact time it should be performed. This ensures that the task appears at the designated time on your dashboard and triggers notifications accordingly.
Time zone Considerations
All tasks and notifications operate based on the dashboard time zone, ensuring consistency in timing regardless of the user's location.
Setting Task Reminders
To help you stay on top of your tasks, you can set up reminders. Here are the available reminder options:
Don't remind me: No reminder will be sent.
At time of task: A reminder will be sent at the exact time the task is due.
5 minutes before: A reminder will be sent 5 minutes before the task is due.
15 minutes before: A reminder will be sent 15 minutes before the task is due (default).
30 minutes before: A reminder will be sent 30 minutes before the task is due.
1 hour before: A reminder will be sent 1 hour before the task is due.
2 hours before: A reminder will be sent 2 hours before the task is due.
12 hours before: A reminder will be sent 12 hours before the task is due.
1 day before: A reminder will be sent 1 day before the task is due.
1 week before: A reminder will be sent 1 week before the task is due.
Reminder Notification
An email reminder will be sent to include the task title, task description, task type, due date and time as well as a call to action button to click directly into the Task to take action.
Campaign Task
In the Campaign task section, reminders work slightly differently:
- Send Now: If a task is created with the "Send Now" option, the notification will not trigger as it takes the current timing.
- Schedule Later: If a task is created with "Schedule Later," the notification will trigger according to the selected timing. If the campaign involves multiple users, only one campaign notification will be sent.
Benefits of Adding Tasks to a Drip Campaign
Adding tasks like scheduled calls to your drip campaign ensures consistent follow-ups, enhances engagement, and keeps communication timely. For example, you can schedule a follow-up call a week after an initial email or set reminders for check-ins. This helps manage workload, improve productivity, and ensure no important touchpoints are missed.

Bulk Update Tasks
Need to make bulk updates? Simply checkmark next to all desired tasks then click 'Actions' to select
Edit/Complete/Delete Tasks
Click on the task name to open up the ability to edit, mark complete, or delete the task.
Create a Task from a Contact
Tasks can also be created from a contact.
Click Contacts from the iA menu
From the top of the Contact Profile, click Add a Task which will drop down all of the fields to create your task.
